Day 1 Pick up your rental car at Dunedin Airport on arrival
and drive to the City.
1.00pm Pick up for your tour to the Otago Peninsula.
Return early evening to your hotel. Overnight Dunedin ( Breakfast included )Day 2 Dunedin - Larnoch Castle Tour.
Time to also view the Early Settlers Museum (not included) Evening Speights Brewery Tour
Overnight Dunedin ( Breakfast included )Day 3 Depart Dunedin and drive thru the Catlins spectacular
scenery via Kaka Point, Owaka, the beautiful Purakaunui Bay
and waterfalls.The day ends at Curio Bay and Waikawa.
Overnight Curo Bay Beachfront accommodation.
Day 4 Continue through the Catlins via Otara and Haldane Bay to
Fortrose and on to Invercargill.
This afternoon you have entry to the Richardson Truck &
Motorcycle Museum, one of the most complete collections of
vintage trucks in the world.
Overnight Invercargill. Day 5 This morning, drive to Bluff and park your car in the secure
parking at the Stewart Island Ferry. Departure time is 11am.
On arrival you will transfer to your accommodation from
where you will be collected for your 1.00pm Village and Bays
Tour.
Returns at 3.00pm. After dinner (not included), depart on the Stewart Island Explorer
on your Wild Kiwi Encounter. There are hundreds of Brown
Kiwi on the island so the chances of seeing these birds in the
wild is quite high.
Overnight Stewart Is ( Breakfast included )Day 6 Morning is free for exploring the island at leisure (optional
extra – explore by rental car, motor scooter or mountain
bike).
Depart to Ulva Island on The Explorer Tour including a guided
walk on the Island.
Depart Stewart Island 3.30pm by ferry to Bluff arriving
4.30pm . Overnight Invercargill.
Day 7 Depart north to Te Anau via Tuataupere. Afternoon departure to Te Anau Anau Caves & the Glow Worm grotto. On your return, check in to your accommodation and rest of the evening free. Overnight Te AnauDay 8 Depart Early to Milford Sound via the Homer Tunnel. Arrive Milford Sound for the lunchtime Nature Cruise through the stunning Milford Sound as far as the Tasman Sea. Mid afternoon return to Milford Sound wharf and take a leisurely drive back to Te Anau with plenty of photo stops along the way. Overnight Te AnauDay 9 Depart to Queenstown. Afternoon ride the Shotover Jet Evening Free Overnight Queenstown.Day 10 After breakfast this morning, free time to explore Queenstown until just after lunch when you will depart on your afternoon 4WD Safari of the Scenes half day tour which takes you into Lord of the Rings country where you can try your hand at a spot of gold panning in the Arrow River. Evening free Day 11 After breakfast this morning make your way to the Red Boats of the famous Shotover Jet Company for a thrilling ride down the Kauwara River. Rest of the day free to explore Queenstown but don't miss one of the best scenic drives in NZ from town to Glenorchy and Paradise, the small settlement made famous through the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Day 12 Check out of your hotel and drive to Queenstown Airport to return your rental car and then check in for your flight home.
