Your Ultimate Luxury Getaway
Day 1 Arrive at the Heliport at Mechanics Bay for your departure by
private helicopter for your 1 hour flight over the Waikato to
Solitaire Lodge on the shores of Lake Tarawera.
You will be met by your lodge host and shown to your lakeview suite.
Settle in to your suite and start to explore the lodge before meeting
in the lounge for pre dinner drinks and canapés.
You will be directed when your table will be ready for dinner.Day 2 This morning take a 15-minute private highspeed launch excursion
to the natural hot springs of Lake Tarawera. This is best accessed
prior to breakfast. Enjoy soaking in the thermal waters rising gently
through the lake bed as the morning sun filters through native
bush.
Return to the Lodge for a sumptious breakfast.
The rest of the morning is free until a light lunch is served at a time
to suit.
After lunch you will depart to Rotorua on the lodge shuttle for
a private tour of the famous Te Puia Geothermal Arts and Crafts
Institute. Your guide will take you on an exclusive visit to the
thermal valley of Whakarewarewa. This is where the tribe, displaced
by the eruption of Mt Tarawera in 1886, were welcomed to establish
a new village.
During this part of the tour you will see the boiling mud pools and
the geysers including the famous Pōhutu Geyser.
You will continue on to enjoy the taste of food items prepared in the
naturally occurring pool named Ngāraratuatara. In the past this was
how the pools were traditionally used to cook food.
The tour wil continue to the Kiwi House followed by an
indigenous inspired afternoon tea at Pātaka Kai Restaurant . After
this you will be guided through the elements of greenstone
whalebone, bronze, wood, flax and tā moko that make up the
New Zealand Maori Arts & Crafts Institute.
Complete the guided experience with a tour through the Āhua
Gallery and a refreshment of bubbles or juice beside the fireplace at
Pātaka Kai.
After a short break, join other guests for the Te Po Indigenous
Evening Experience after which you will be returned to the Lodge.
Day 3 This morning after breakfast you wil be taken to the lakefront for the
departure of your helicopter. The excursion begins with a flight over
the stunning scenery of Lakes Tarawera, and Rotomahana for a
water landing on the beautiful Lake Okareka.
Here you will meet your guide who will look after you for the next four and a half hours. You will be guided around the crater of Mt Tarawera before being driven back to Solitaire Lodge. Snacks will be provided during this excursion. Free time until pre dinner drinks and canapés followed by dinner. Day 4 After breakfast check out of Solitaire Lodge and depart by helicopter for your scenic flight to Huka Lodge. On arrival at Huka Lodge proceed to lunch after which time your room will be ready for you. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the ambience of one of New Zealands finest lodges on the banks of the Waikato River. Pre dinner drinks and canapés prior to dinner. Day 5 This morning after breakfast you will be collected at Huka Lodge by Huka Falls Jet and transfer to their base below the Huka Falls for an excursion never to be forgotten as you are taken to the base of the Huka Falls. Return to Huka Lodge. Alternatively Huka Falls Jet could deliver you to the city of Taupo. Then own arrangements for return to Huka Lodge by taxi.

Day 6 Check out of Huka Lodge and depart by helicopter for the 45 minute flight to the coast direct to The Farm at Cape Kidnappers. Your stay at the Farm includes Lunch, pre dinner drinks with canapés, dinner each night, full breakfast daily, complimentary mini- bar (excluding liquor and wines), Wi-Fi, and use of lodge facilities excluding golf and spa treatments. Day 7 Today has been left completely free for you to enjoy The Farm. The lodge facilities include infinity pool and hot tub, spa and fitness centre with lap pool, sauna & jacuzzi, tennis courts, three private beaches, mountain bikes and walking tracks. So there is a lot to occupy your time. Day 8 This morning after breakfast you will check out of The Farm at Cape Kidnappers. Your departure by the lodge shuttle wil be timed to meet the check in time for your flight home.
