Day 1 Pick up your rental car at Auckland Airport on arrival Afternoon free to explore Auckland Overnight central Auckland hotel with breakfast.
Day 2 Auckland – morning departure on your City, Coast & Country wine tour including three wineries with tasting. A lunch stop is included – own cost Overnight Auckland
Day 3 Depart to Paihia via stops at Matakana, Whangarei historic Ruapekapeka and Kawakawa. Overnight in Waitangi, staying on the beach next to the historic Treaty grounds.
Day 4 Morning eco tour with a cultural twist. Afternoon free to visit Russel, the former whaling town known as the Hell Hole of the Pacific or immerse yourself in the interactive exhibition at the Waitangi Museum at the Treaty Grounds. Overnight Waitangi.
Day 5 Depart Paihia to the Hokianga via Kerikeri.Visit Makana Chocolates, the mission church at Waimate North, Mangugu, Rawene, arriving in Omapere in the late afternoon. Overnight Omapere with views across the Hokianga from your beachfront hotel.
Day 6 Depart on an awesome adventure down the harbour by jetski to parts of the Hokianga not accessible by road. Return to your hotel for lunch and some free time. Later in the afternoon your tour departs to the Waipua Forest to see the magnificent Lord of the Forest, Tane Mahuta. Overnight Omapere.
Day 7 Depart the Hokianga for Auckland driving through the Waipua Kauri Forest to Dargaville and Matakohe where the fascinating Kauri Museum is located. If time permits drop in for a coffee stop - although what you see will most likely extend that driving break! Plan your arrival at Auckland Airport to allow time to return your rental car before checking in for your flight home.
